Process of cleaning a Maytag dishwashers filter
The importance of the dishwasher filter is that it is good in catching food particles and other debris. The job of the dishwasher is to clean small particles of the food from the dishes, cooking pans and other silverware. These particles which are come out of the washing should go somewhere. If we allow these particles directly to the drainage system of the dishwasher then they can clog it. So the filter is provided. There are two types of filter in Maytag dishwasher, coarse and fine. Course filter should be cleaned after each two or three wash load but fine one could be cleaned after 300 wash load or after 3 months. Here are some steps and instructions given.
Instruction
Step 1
At first remove all the dishes from the dishwasher.
Step 2
Take out the bottom rack. Filters are located under the basket basically in the Maytag dishwasher. If you pull out the rack the wheels leave its track.
Step 3
Then after remove course filter from Maytag dishwasher. The course filter is surrounded by a round knob. Hold the filter in the handle of it and pull straight up.
Step 4
The debris which is attached in the filter is removed by knocking the filter gently. Then after flow the tap over the filter to wash out smaller particles in the filter. And then clean and dry with the sponge. And put it back to the filter holder.
Step 5
Turn the round knob in anti-clockwise direction until it being loose, and then pull it out. By this operation fine filter also can take out so pull out the fine filter.
Step 6
Wash lightly the fine filter with the hot water tap. Clean and dry with the sponge. And then replace it in its own position. Turn the round knob clockwise direction to tight it.
Tips and Warning
1. Some of the Maytag filter shows message as “clean filter”, but this message refers to the fine filter.
2. Don’t forget to put back the bottom rack before running it again.
3. These instructions given could be differ for different models of the Maytag dishwasher. So you have to read the manual provided.
